What to do in the event of a claim needing
to be made
All claims for loss and damage must be notified to us in writing
within 10 days of receipt or due date.
All packaging for damaged
items must be kept for inspection, failure to do this could invalidate
your claim.
If your goods where signed in 'Good Condition' then
no claim can be made by either us or direct with the carrier provider.
All goods are covered by a standard £50.00 cover unless overwise
stated, there is also a £10.00 excess on any claim brought.
To start a claim you will require, a photo of the item, photograph
and description of the item before delivery and proof it was the
same item. Photos of the packaging and an invoice showing bought
value ie wholesale value not sold value.
The only person who can
make the claim is the person who booked the order with Freightmarket.com,
this will also be the person who is paid out should the claim prove
successful.
Please note many types of item are not covered for
damage and loss and may be classed as sent at owners risk, our
'terms and conditions' should always
be checked before shipping and you which to also check again should
a claim need to be made.
A claim can take anywhere from 3-6 months
reach conclusion.
Please note Freightmarket.com or any of it's named companies or associations
only log and pass on claim information, we do not investigate,
administer, check or reach a conclusion on a claim. This is down
the carrier or shipping provider, if a claim is paid out by the
carrier this is passed to use to pass to the customer or direct
to the customer from the carrier.
Freightmarket.com is a shipping/freight
and carriage broker and therefore does not require or have transport
or transit insurance, the carrier however provides this cover which
we in turn pass on.
Please note Freightmarket.com or any of it's
named associations DO NOT pay direct for any claim, any claim which
is rejected will be detailed and sent as a letter from both the
carrier and ourselves outlining the reasons for decline.
